Marlena is thrilled to be back at the Brickyard Theatre after having spectacular time in Quilters last summer. Come fall Marlena will be entering her second year as an undergraduate at the University of California at Irvine, pursing a B.A. in Theatre Arts. A graduate from Atascadero High School, Marlena is proud to continue supporting and participating in the performing arts in her home town. Marlena was heavily involved in the Choral and Drama Departments during her years at AHS, receiving lead roles in the musicals Anything Goes, Chess: the Rock Opera, and Cinderella. She has also been involved in several productions with the SLO Little Theatre. Marlena would like to thank Anet for this incredible opportunity, as well as her family and friends for their unconditional love and support.
Cynthia has been doing all things theatrical for over thirty years and does not plan to ever stop. She graduated with honors from Cal State University Long Beach, earning her BA in Theatre Arts/Performance. Following several starving years as an actress in Los Angeles, she broadened her professional skills as an arts administrator, and while employed at the Norris Theatre in Palos Verdes, she met and married her true love and lifetime co-star Andrew Anthony. Continuing her work in the theatre while raising a family in Paso Robles, Cynthia went on to co-found Classic American Theatre. She also has served as Executive Director of San Luis Obispo Little Theatre and Pioneer Players. She was the Drama and Speech Teacher at Paso Robles High School, where she directed musicals and plays. Her drama students also went to the DTASC competition, where they earned numerous trophies and winner's ribbons. She has just completed her teaching credential program to teach English/Language Arts. Her passion for arts education and its positive impact on young people is evident in her three talented children, all of whom are beginning their professional lives in theatre and music. Cynthia's numerous acting credits include shows all over SLO County, including her performance as Masha in the Brickyard's debut show Anton in Show Business. Favorite roles include Bella in Lost in Yonkers, Martha in Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf and M'Lynn in Steel Magnolias. Cynthia was seen earlier this summer in The Octette Bridge Club in Cambria. Two shows in one summer! She is in heaven.

Mary-Ann is pleased to be playing “Lane” in “The Clean House”. Mary-Ann's acting credits involve both leading and supporting roles in local theater productions, independent films, and commercials. This is Mary-Ann's first time on stage at The Brickyard Theatre and she wants to thank Anet for this wonderful opportunity. Mary-Ann also wishes to thank the cast and crew for bringing “The Clean House” to life and to you, the audience, for keeping the arts alive.

The Clean House, existentially speaking, reminds me of a joke. "A travelling salesman and a farmer's daughter walk into a bar. She has a talking dog and he has a one foot tall man in a tuxedo playing a toy piano on his shoulder. They sit next to a Priest, an Imam and a Rabbi" Or maybe it was a different joke; but to decide for yourself you'll just have to come see this play with an open mind, an open heart, and an open Portuguese- English dictionary. Non-existentially speaking, after appearing in dozens of plays, musicals, and indie films throughout the Central Coast area I am truly honored and giddy to be working again with some of my absolute favorite actors, production crew-members and, of course, my favorite director in this wonderful theatre. Desfrute!!!!
