More About Cast Members

Michael Siebrass

Michael Siebrass began performing in high school where his talent earned him a 4 year scholarship to the University of Portland in Oregon. At UP, he earned a BA in Speech and Drama with an emphasis on acting and directing. His interest in the Theatre of the Absurd led to his direction of plays by Albee, Pinter, Adamov, and Genet. As an actor, he appeared in many roles, the main stage highlights being the title role in King Lear, Henry Higgins in Pygmalion, and Ephraim Cabot in Desire Under the Elms.

In 2001, Michael retired with his family to the Central Coast and began working in theatre again. At SLOLT he appeared in Damn Yankees, Camelot, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, and Annie, and directed Anne of Green Gables, The Secret Garden, and Inherit the Wind, all with great success.

Since 2004 when he originated it, he has served as Artistic Director and sometimes actor and director for the Reader’s Theatre program at San Luis Obispo Little Theatre (SLOLT), a series that has had very good audience response. In addition, he is currently working as the Artistic Director for Houselights Theatre in Morro Bay.

Theater is dead but sometimes I like to go and watch the corpse decompose)..." More can be read at Stolen Fire's website: www.stolenfire.com.
